Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just introduced fast-track legislation that would extend Section 215 of the Patriot Act — which allows the NSA to collect nearly every American’s phone records — by another two months.
For weeks now people like you have been calling members of Congress and urging them to let Section 215 expire — as it's scheduled to — on June 1. Sen. McConnell's latest move is a slap in the face to anyone who believes we should be able to communicate freely without government surveillance.
Congress needs to know this is unacceptable.
