The 2015 Net Neutrality Resolution

The 2015 Net Neutrality Resolution

There’s no question that the public wants real Net Neutrality.

But as policymakers return to Washington, the Internet service providers are trying harder than ever to destroy the open Internet.

We can’t surrender the Internet to companies like Comcast and Verizon. Sign and send the Net Neutrality New Year’s Resolution to policymakers now!

Dear FCC Commissioners and Members of Congress:

You can help make 2015 a historic one for the open Internet by resolving to make real Net Neutrality a reality.

All you have to do is follow these three steps:

1. Listen to the public. Do not side with the Internet service providers. Do not buy into their misleading campaigns. Do not let a few greedy companies take over the Internet.

2. Do it now. We're on the brink of fixing a decade of bad policies and preventing ISPs from discriminating online. Do not hold up the process any further. Do not get distracted from the task at hand.

3. Let the Federal Communications Commission do its job. Right now the agency has no authority over the most important communications medium ever created. By reclassifying Internet-access service under Title II of the Communications Act, the FCC can protect Internet users from online discrimination and blocking. Any other approach will fall short.

Don't put the public in the slow lane. Protect real Net Neutrality now.
