A rare opportunity is right around the corner to launch new local radio stations in cities and towns across the United States. The Federal Communications Commission will soon begin accepting applications for Low Power FM (LPFM) radio stations, which are small noncommercial stations run by nonprofit organizations and community groups.

The radio landscape lacks local voices, local music and local ownership. You can change that by starting your own community radio station. Starting a station is a big undertaking, but we are here to help.
