    Tell Congress that Tens of Millions of Households Need Additional Funding for the ACP Program

    Beginning in 2022, the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) provided households living near the poverty line or enrolled in federal-aid programs like Medicaid and SNAP with up to $30 per month for the internet package of their choosing from participating providers — and $75 per month for people living on Tribal lands.

    At least one in six U.S. households were enrolled in the program. As internet access becomes more and more central to all aspects of life, we need the ACP more than ever. But because Congress let the ACP run out of money, the program lapsed in May 2024. Now, once again, countless households can no longer afford to access the internet.
