We believe that a better future is possible for local news in Colorado — one that serves people, not big media corporations, and fights harmful disinformation and destructive policies and practices that hurt communities of color.
Throughout the month of September, News Voices: Colorado, in partnership with the Colorado Media Project, is hosting community conversations about how local news can provide the information your community needs. Our first conversation will explore the protests sparked by the police killings of Black people, and our second will center on the COVID-19 information that immigrant communities need in Colorado.
Sign up to join a conversation: You’ll get to talk directly to local journalists about the news your community needs.
The News Voices: Colorado project is new but Free Press has long-standing relationships with groups like the Colorado Media Project and COLab. We aim to support journalism around the state and invite community members like you to share your dreams for local news.
