We have the right to communicate without the government spying on us.
Individual freedom and social justice cannot survive in a surveillance state.
That’s why we at the Free Press Action Fund helped launch the StopWatching.Us Coalition to demand that Congress investigate the NSA’s surveillance programs. And it’s why we’re continuing to engage thousands in the effort to restore our rights to connect and communicate in private.
This week President Obama announced plans to reform some of the NSA’s worst programs. But the president's plans aren’t good enough.
So here’s what we plan to do about it:
- Our policy experts will be storming Capitol Hill in the weeks to come, demanding action and serious answers.
- We’re organizing dozens of in-district meetings with key elected officials across the country.
- We’re joining with a broad coalition of allies for a day of action on Feb. 11 – we call it “The Day We Fight Back Against Mass Surveillance.”
Please donate $15 or more to the Free Press Action Fund to help us protect the privacy rights of millions of Americans. Thank you!
