Dear President Obama:

Thank you for taking steps to end the NSA's warrantless collection of millions of phone records. This is a good start, but it doesn't go far enough. It doesn't address the ways the NSA and other government agencies track our online activity and violate our free speech rights.

The USA Freedom Act is the best bill we have to stop the worst of the NSA's abuses. Please support this bipartisan bill and protect the privacy rights of millions of Americans.

    Tell President Obama: Support the USA Freedom Act

    President Obama has announced his proposal to end the NSA's warrantless collection of millions of phone records. This is a good first step, but it doesn't go far enough.1

    The proposal wouldn't do anything to address the many other ways the NSA and other agencies spy on millions of people in the U.S. and around the world — by tracking our Web searches, reading our emails, even serving National Security Letters that make it illegal for people to speak out.

    There are a lot of fake fixes circulating in Congress right now. To ensure true transparency and oversight of the NSA and other government agencies, the president needs to get behind the USA Freedom Act. It's the best bill we have to stop the worst of the NSA's abuses.
