To Advertisers:

Facebook reported $70 billion in advertising revenue and $18.5 billion in profits in 2019. Despite its mammoth revenues, the company has repeatedly failed to meaningfully address hate, incitement to violence and disinformation across its products.

Free Press, the Anti-Defamation League, Color Of Change, Common Sense Media, LULAC, Mozilla, the NAACP, the National Hispanic Media Coalition and Sleeping Giants have publicly asked Facebook’s advertisers to hit pause on ad spending for July 2020. The goal is to push Facebook to stop exploiting hate on its platform for monetary gain.

If your company commits to pausing paid advertising on Facebook and its owned platforms for the month of July, you will help send a message that our society will not continue to support Facebook if it doesn’t take serious action immediately.

There are likely publications you don’t advertise in because they don’t meet your standards as sources for credible news and information. We think the same should hold true for Facebook. This is especially important since Facebook often shows ads like yours right next to hateful or divisive content.

Join the #StopHateForProfit ad boycott today. Thank you.

    Tell Advertisers: Boycott Facebook

Facebook is facing a full-on advertising revolt. And it’s huge.

The company’s largest advertisers are turning their back on the social-media giant because of its repeated failures to address hate and disinformation on its platform. Honda, Unilever and Verizon are just a handful of the 100+ companies that have jumped on so far.

Facebook has shown it doesn’t care about its users. But it does care about money. 99% of Facebook’s profits come from its advertisers

Let’s hit the company where it hurts: Demand that advertisers boycott Facebook
