End the FCC’s War on the Poor
In 2017, the Trump FCC proposed a plan to decimate Lifeline, a program that helps poor people afford lifesaving communication tools. But thanks to people like you that awful plan was stalled (we hoped, indefinitely).
Now, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai is back with a new plan to sabotage Lifeline and harm poor people who rely on the program to stay connected. But we’re here to fight back.
Lifeline is incredibly important for low-income families, the elderly, people with disabilities, people living on tribal lands, veterans, domestic-violence survivors, hurricane victims and people experiencing homelessness. The program provides people who qualify with a modest $9.25 monthly subsidy to connect to phone and/or internet services.
Sign the petition telling Chairman Pai and the FCC to stop attacking Lifeline.
