This legislation would restore the FCC’s authority to regulate broadband under Title II of the Communications Act, and undo the major damage the Trump FCC inflicted when it repealed the Obama-era Net Neutrality rules. In 2017, the Trump FCC voted to overturn the Net Neutrality rules — enabling companies like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon to slow down or block the content you want to see. But Sen. Markey, Sen. Wyden and Rep. Matsui have a plan to undo the damage the agency inflicted.

The Net Neutrality and Broadband Justice Act would restore the agency’s authority to regulate broadband under Title II of the Communications Act — empowering the FCC to work toward its mandate of ensuring that affordable high-speed internet is available to all.
