Why sign up?
In the first 100 days of his presidency, Trump and his cabinet plan to do whatever they can to strip civil liberties, privatize programs like the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and eviscerate consumer protections and safeguards. All signs point to a fascist presidency complete with attacks on a free press and the open internet. We refuse to live in a country where surveillance is unchecked and corporations restrict our ability to connect and communicate.
What kinds of things will I be asked to do?
We'll provide a range of activities — from calling your senators to marching in the streets to reading and sharing important analysis to watching inspiring videos. Free Press works closely in coalition with many organizations that are fighting for our rights in this moment and we're excited to create this new way to communicate and engage with our members and connect all the issues together.
