Co-Creating Solutions to Housing Inequity in Charlotte

Every day there are new headlines about housing, land and inequity. It’s a hot-button issue that many of us are discussing — but how does local news shape the conversation in the Queen City? And how can local reporting move us toward solutions to the housing crisis?

The Charlotte Journalism Collaborative — comprised of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Library, the Charlotte Observer, Free Press, La Noticia, Q City Metro, qnotes, Queen's University, the Solutions Journalism Network, WCNC-TV and WFAE — wants to hear your voice on this.

Join us for an interactive drop-in gathering connecting community members and journalists on Sun., Oct. 13, from 1–4 p.m. We’ll meet at ImaginOn, located at 300 E. 7th St. in Charlotte.

For a few hours on Oct. 13, we’ll reimagine the affordable housing crisis as a challenge we can overcome. Everything new is born of chaos: What will we birth in Charlotte?

Join us for a Sunday afternoon of solutions journalism as the Charlotte Journalism Collaborative visions the future of housing in Charlotte and the coverage that will help us get to that future — a future where we all win.

Join us. Let’s work together to serve, dream and shape the future of Charlotte.
